USA in their first game of this years World Cup had success against Ghana 2-1. Ghana was the team to previously eliminate USA in 2006 and 2010. Clint Dempsey had an impressive goal just under 30 seconds. Making it the 5th quickest goal in World Cup history. John Brooks scored his goal in the 86th minute to give USA the win. USA has it’s next match with Portugal in 5 days. We will be following USA’s progress throughout the cup. What are your predictions for the World Cup final game? USA played their second match against Portugal; they played to a tied match 2-2. This was also the first game in World Cup history with a water break, with the referee stopping the match in the 39th minute.

With both teams already qualified for the next round the USA made it into the final 16 teams after a loss to Germany 0-1.

And in what became their final effort was a lost to Belgium in extra time 2-1.

The USA team did a tremendous job in the 2014 World Cup. Even though they didn’t win the cup the USA has made a mark in World Cup history forever. Great job USA!!!
